... a sea with no beach, and I'd have been none the wiser. As we neared the Pier we saw more and more little day boats; sailing must be a popular pastime for the rich folk of Chicago. Some were moored way out in the lake though, and we couldn't figure out how the owners would even get to them…taking another boat to their boat just seems daft! ... Chicago rivers. It was an "Architectural Tour," in which they drive you through the rivers of downtown Chicago and tell you about the history and architecture of all the buildings. It all goes back to the Chicago fire, when there was suddenly a 'clean slate' to rebuild on.
