The Walmart at Hammond IN where we
stopped was surrounded by trucks and felt a lot safer. Go with ya gut
when it comes to safety. And as it turns out, after reading up and
looking at Chicago Safety maps, we had been parked up in one of three
most dangerous areas in Chicago and one of the 25 most dangerous
areas of USA. We promise to be much more careful in the future!

When mom dropped us off at the bus station, we noticed she was trying to leave as quickly as possible to hide her tears.
