The weather was good heading north...missed most of the rain that was predicted on Monday...but boy did we hit a lot of bugs in Georgia. Our windshield was practically covered! Then, when the rain hit, Richard was hesitant to turn in the wipers...thought we'd have a blinding mess...but it was fine. We stayed in Wytheville, VA last night and got a good start this morning.
What a trip in 12 "short" ...
... we have now reached Ravenna in Ohio. Our stop for for the night is the Rocking Horse Inn, which we booked only this morning. It is a 'stick-style' Victorian house, once a convent, but now a fabulously quaint and ornate B&B. We have just had a wonderful impromptu dinner with our hosts, some local friends and another guest. ... we found the HOF to be informative as to the history of the game, and was fun to see the busts and also various personal items from various individual performances, such as Jerry Rice's football when he broke the record for number of passes, Russell Wilson's Super Bowl jersey (My favorite), etc.
Then around 5 PM we drove back to Walmart, hooked back up and drove an hour north of Akron to Silver Lake Campground to camp for the night. (next story)
