The aim today was to drive to the Green Mountains in Vermont - the **** sat nav we've hired likes to take us on long routes so today's drive was 6 hours long! This included driving the length of Manhattan in rush hour in heavy rain and getting lost in a car park. Luckily ...

A travel blog entry by heavenonearth on Oct 04, 2014

Debbie and I have talked on the phone from time to time, over the 36 years since we got out of the Air Force in 1978 but... I never thought I'd find myself just 70 miles from her home in Massachusetts!!! She was SO SURPRISED when I called her and asked if we could stop by for a visit!! Spending time with her was absolutely one of my favorite experiences on our ...

... when it was originally in use.

We had to go through security but we were allowed on and there was no charge. One lady asked how to get to the ship after she had left the visitors centre. She was told to turn left, left and "it is the big one in the water"

Drove to Cambridge to see some of the buildings of Harvard university. It was raining slightly (photos were taken from car as we drove around).

Found route 2A and headed west out of Boston. It ...
