... I board the ship and then no worries about accommodations for 114 days!!! And I'm certainly not 'roughing it' when I do camp. Electrics / wifi ( although often very frustratingly unreliable!!) / swimming pools etc...and given the season- invites to the Christmas and NY gatherings ( ms.otis regrets). The weather has been mainly in the low 80's ...rain here and there - but overall very 'tropical' ...I am getting acclimatized I hope - I think some of the countries I will be visiting ...

Not too impressed with this terminal as it is old and rather dingy looking. This is one knock on the port and Celebrity: they should be able to do better than this in my opinion.

12:45 pm, time to board! The ship is spectacular. Definitely a luxury/refined feel to it without being stuffy. Nice to see the crew smiling ...

    Day 8 Fort Lauderdale USA

... yachts of the rich and famous. Janet Jackson was in preparing for a party tonight and we saw Steven Segal's massive yacht. It's a shame we had an early sail away as there was a boat parade tonight where all the houses and yachts are decorated for the "C" word (Christmas). One house spend around $45,000 on decorations and tend to win the competition each year. They have professional holiday decorators in. We then got of at the beach and had a wander ...
