... 5pm departure to about 9am arrival. Drinks with dinner were almost required [not really, but the flight attendant did ask everyone if they would like wine with their meals]. Mark wasn't going to watch the World Cup initially for the same reasons he didn't watch any of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia: as a silent protest against the way those events get "awarded" to places. There were a couple of good movies one about the space shuttle and one about the new programme for going to Mars that they are working on now. Doesn't matter how many times you see it the achievement is still amazing and watching the astronauts work outside on the space station makes me feel really queasy, how can they do that? As it was so busy we only queued for one tour where ...

OK, so here is the story of the first day of our trip.

Yesterday (Tuesday) we took "G/G" and the TOAD to Camping World to have the auxiliary brake installed. Yes I know it should have been done before, but no one ever accused us of doing things the easy way. Anyway, we drove out early yesterday, turned both vehicles in and was told they would be ready about 4 pm. So off we went back home. I had driven my car out while Bob towed the car so we could go back home.
