The hotel room was clean and comfortable and the free snacks in the evenings was great. Nice staff, too.

My last weekend in Columbus, I went to Auburn with Charlie Kelly, Chris Smith, and Matty Rohrback for the Auburn-Alabama baseball game. After a late lunch at a redneck-owned hole-in-the-wall barbeque spot west of Phenix City, we toured the Auburn campus briefly and got some photos with the statues outside Jordan-Hare Stadium before meeting up with Febus, Quinones, and some other ABOLC classmates for the game. ...

Auburn & Tuskegee - Deep in Dixie

... a time when the U.S. armed forces were
still racially segregated, a training center was established outside Tuskegee
to prepare black soldiers to be pilots, a site that is now Tuskegee Airmen
National Historic Site. Although there is a gigantic parking lot at the Tuskegee
Airmen site and two hangars of displays on the Tuskegee airmen, I was the only
visitor; ditto for the museum at Tuskegee Institute. Well, two more checks off
    the list of NPS units.

Last full day in the U.S. Before I leave for Australia. There seems to be so much to remember and prepare for the long flight, so I'm starting now! Hopefully I don't forget anything! I know it's going to be such an amazing experience, but I can't express how much I'm going to miss my loving husband. Jeremy, I love you and can't wait to see you when I ...

After visiting Tuskegee University I drove over to Auburn for my scheduled visit during their dinner and Bible study night. There were a little over 100 young folks there but not many that particularly cared about seminary. I did speak with a couple of folks and one in particular, Winston, who is certain about wanting to go to seminary after graduating from Auburn. I had a good time ...

    Attempt at Tuskegee

I've been trying to reach Rev. Sheila Bates at Tuskegee's Wesley Foundations for months now to no avail. I didn't want to come all this way and not at least try to drop in on her though. The address to their location on their website led to an abandoned building. Needless to say, this attempt wasn't off to the best start.

I was trying to bypass the main campus chapel as I know the relationship between she and Rev. Gray isn't the best but, I had to go over ...
