... room to get to the 'Jack in the Box' near to the motel. Everyone knows the best cure for a hangover is a shed load of greasy food and I duly obliged. About 10lbs of meat, 3 gallons of coke and a million chips later, I was done and feeling a whole lot better.

In the afternoon, I decided to go back to those shops that I had only been able to peer into yesterday. This time though, I pulled out all the stops and went on a bit of a ...
Madison, Georgia, United States holliday... campground as well if you want to bring your horse!

Many well marked and maintained trails for hiking and horseback riding. Easy paved roads through out to get you over to the beach at the swimming lake or the ramp at the boating lake or the group use building with large rolling lawn down to the water for fishing and kayaking/canoeing. There are playgrounds and a terrific group BBQ area with facilities for preparation ...
Rutledge, Georgia, United States jodieandandyI wanted to spend more time in Athens, but because of all the problems going on, plans kind of got extremely disorganized and we went to Athens on a whim.

We basically ended up in a bar and grabbed dinner at The Grit (famous for vegetarian cuisine), while briefly cruising around town.

I felt sad and sentimental that I didn't get to tour it more, but then again I felt relief; I have another university to call my own, for I am also a NYU graduate. ;)
Athens, Georgia, United States erinkovalHey y'all,

I tried to email everyone the pictures of my condo but AOL doesn't have enough storage space for the amount of pictures I took, so here they are!

In other news, I've applied to a few jobs and realized (again) that looking for a ...
Athens, Georgia, United States ashleyfrances... the whole way back. We even coordinated our stops very well. We were back in Atlanta at 5 pm - but luckily not too much traffic. We stopped at the new Barrow Publix for some dinner and milk. The kids got to play with the neighbors while we unloaded the car.

Whew!
Bogart, Georgia, United States jspringe... How do they keep their arteries open around here? There were churches every mile (or more). We saw Carolina rice paddies - I never associated rice growing with southern US before.

We stopped at a State Park for lunch and had a picnic next to a lovely lake - there were few others there at first, but they all left and we had the park to ourselves. The temperature was in the high 20s and humid. We carried on down towards Charleston, seeing Azaleas and lots of ...
Athens, Georgia, United States mumnjulieI am no longer a poor college student. Now I am just poor. No more excuses. Time to go explore the world! In preparation for my up-coming travels to the UK, I had to deal with the peskiness of finishing up my last semester of college and actually going through graduation. The thing that sticks out most in my mind is how HOT it was for the 2.5 hour ceremony. (2.5 hours?! I heard it was just over an hour...liars!) It was a busy, busy ...
As vezes eh dificil nao colaborar. Ainda estou procurando solucao para poder seguir ...
Athens, Georgia, United States betuca... having satellite problems again, but it's too nice here to worry about TV. We're going to spend 4 nights here, then our next stop will be near Atlanta. On Saturday, Terry had a big Oops! that was rather funny, although he was still too mad at the time to see the humor. He had gone out in his boat, across the lake and was fishing under the train trestle, when he decided to tie the boat to the trestle. Well, I don't know exactly how, or why, but he fell in ...
Greensboro, Georgia, United States chictravelers2My wife and I recently visited Savannah from another haunted Georgia town--Athens. We had done some homework in advance of our trip and found that there were tons of expected sites about tours in Savannah that are quite obviously trying to "sell" you something instead of really weighing out distinctive experiences. No shocker there right? By weeding through such things, it seemed that one guy stood out in Savannah in so far as ghost tours go. We weren't ...
