Iris kept busy collecting the ones that had fallen ...

... passed through Sedona into the Red Rock State Park. Better than Monument Valley in our opinion. Worth hitting on a sunny day as the sky was bright blue and the rocks were at their best. Took Interstate 17 for an overnight stop in luxury hotel in Scottsdale (£35 reduced from £150) temperatures hit 109 degrees today. ...

... We spotted Ron E at the Elks and found that he performs there during the week. We had brats in a bun and lots of beer and really enjoyed the day. Zack was there and we gave him a photo we had taken of his wife, she is part of the band at the Hitchin' Post. We found a place to sit and watch the dancers and danced a lot and really had a good time. Finally headed home to relax for the rest of the evening.
