    I'd Defintely Stay Again!

    from

This hotel gets a big thumbs up. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and close to everywhere I needed to go. I stayed at Hampton Inns in Charlottesville, VA and Orlando, FL and thought I probably just lucked out in getting a nice room with friendly employees. Apparently this chain of hotels strives to make your stay comfortable and wants you to come back. Cudos to all who make this happen!

    Great property and great value

    from

The hotel is a basic limited service hotel, with the difference in service. It is outstanding. Every person seemed to be willing to go out of their way to make sure your stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Very clean.

    Great value!

    from

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and was impressed by its cleanliness, as well as the friendliness of the staff. I have a lot to compare this property to, having stayed in many hotels. The room was large and pleasant, the bathroom was very clean (which you cannot take for granted in a hotel, regardless of the price), and the breakfast was delicious, with a variety of items from which to choose. I would definitely recommend this property to friends.

Good Value for the money... bad customer service

    from

Upon check in staff NOT friendly and that continued the whole weekend. Room was very clean with personal touches, folding of the towels etc. Two double beds were about the size of super singles, very small full size. Free breakfast was below average, first morning had square shaped eggs and burnt sausage. Next morning rock hard french toast. Wasn't worth fighting the crowd at the "buffet" to get the food. Next time will stay at the Courtyard down the street where the breakfast is really a "full breakfast buffet". I would stay here again if I had no other choice, soley based on the fact the hotel was very clean but I would be having breakfast elsewhere.

    Great Value, Great Stay

    from

I stayed at the Hampton while vacationing to Busch Gardens and it was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, and the people were friendly. For the price I definitely think it's worth a stay. Compared to more expensive places in the area I think it fares very well. Would recommend to anyone.

A good kept secret in north side Tampa

    from

We stayed there 2 nights, we went to B.G. T.B.; just got back home.

    We rented two rooms.

I was given a big military discount on the rates; the rooms are bigger than the average, they are super clean; the sheets on the bed clean white and soft. I recommend the king size bed that way if your wife snores like mine is no "biggie" because the bed is so big you will not hear her; the bath towels are plenty, bright white and soft. Nice size bathroom.

The place is very quiet, area seems very safe, parking lot is well illuminated, the land scape is the best I have seen yet in a hotel ( including the very expensive ones).

The free breakfast is very good ( from 6 to 10) everything is clean and fresh, and yes they have real cream for your coffee (not cremora in mini-packets wich I hate with a passion) My mom loved the hot tea ( free all day) how ever, do not show up there after 9; the staff will try to bring more breakfast stuff out but usually they run out, or may be on the weekends is hard to for them to keep up because a lot of vacationer families stay there, and everybody wants free breakfast.

The personnel in this hotel (from recepcionist to bed makers) are extremely professional and polite; they do their job very well and are extremely efficient, no complaints there.

We called for a crib on the first night which they deliverded quick.

I was not impressed with the fitness room, may be because I'm a Soldier and we have the best gyms ( and free too! he ha ha).

My only complaint is they do not have enough handicapped parking spots, and the other regular ones are a little smaller than your average, but then again I have a conversion van. If you have a passanger vehicle (sedan) you will be Ok.

I think the price is excellent for the services.

Our experience there was a very pleasant one over all.

Second Time Stay and Just as Great

    from

This folks is an excellent hotel. There is nothing to say other than well done Hampton INN Tampa north!

They have received numerous awards displayed in the lobby and deserve each and every one AND MORE.

Only minutes from Busch and lots of eateries yet in a very quiet area there is nothing that you can say bad about this hotel.

Last year, this year and hopefully years to come. I'll be there!

    Excellent

    from

Excellent overall review of this hotel. The entire property is very well kept, clean, tidy and attractive. Our suite was in excellent condition as well. The staff is great, very helpful and attentive to guest's needs. The breakfast and the manger's reception during the week are awesome, we enjoyed every one of them very much. Stayed there for three nights this past week and plan to stay in that hotel every time we travel to Tampa from now on.

    Great stay

    from

We have stayed in Hampton Inn's all over the country and this is one of the best. The lobby is extremely clean and tidy. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was in excellent condition. If in the area I would not hesitate to stay here again.

    Busch Gardens getaway!

    from

Just returned from our vacation. Spent 3 nights at this Hampton which is only a 5 minute drive from Busch Gardens. This property is really nice. It's obvious why it has won numerous awards. Front desk service was very friendly, efficient. The room included breakfast, which was better than most Hampton Inn's. It also incluced a manager's reception on the weekday evenings:free beer, wine, munchies and a basic meal, like hot dogs or burgers. We ended up eating our dinner there 2 nights.

You also get the newspaper each day, coffee, tea, cookies and fruit.

Each and every employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious for the price. On the down side, the furniture was a little worn and the beds not too great, but still ok.

The pool was too cold. Overall,I highly recommend this property if you are planning a trip to Busch Gardens. You will sleep well after walking around there all day!!

We are in bed, leaving at 2:30 AM!! Flying from Fort Myers to Newark, then on to Duesseldorf on Lufthansa. Packing was a nightmare given that the weather will be all over the place. Still doesn't feel real. We are really looking forward to our adventure! (And hope the Lightning win the Stanley Cup!) Sitting in airport in Fort Myers. Got here early but that's ...

    Two Hot Babes

So I boarded the Amtrak train in Lakeland and enjoyed the experience. The windows were wide and the seats big. Wait, maybe I meant that the other way around. Anyway, after an hour of watching small Florida towns go by Winter haven, Lake Wales, Indiantown I finally got the nerve to talk to two hot babes. I using sarcasm here. We talked for several minutes and they were impressed with my Spanish. Gosh, I forgot to get their ...

... an interesting few hours exploring the houses, grounds, museum and lab we were off again heading towards Tampa.

We stopped in at Apollo beach which is known for its Manatees. They come into a small canal/outlet that the Tampa Electric company releases their waste water into as it is warm. In winter time a larger number of manatees can be seen in the canal up to around 300, we were lucky enough to see over 100. The Manatee belongs to the same family of ...

... by then around this circle watched the most colourful, vivid, inverted rainbow sunset go down over the sea. Many a time I had to take myself away to realise that this was not a dream but real and routine to many of these people's lives... At around 9ish we piled back into the car and ate at a Cuban restaurant which had very tasty omelettes and unusual bread. We then all sat in the tree balcony until late and it ended a great day. Today, we had some high drama because one ...

    Back Among Friends

A travel blog entry by tomdart07 on Feb 09, 2013

So, back to old stomping grounds...we were up (very) early and made the run to Spokane for the flight to Tampa by way of Las Vegas. The morning was cold and clear until I-90 east of Ritzville, when a dense fog descended. In some stretches, this slowed us down, and coupled with our slightly late departure, we made it to the airport about 25 minutes before boarding time (whew!),
    Southwest was its ...
