    May 27th – Day 23

Today was the drive into Sequoia
National Park. The length of our RV meant we couldn't take the
closest route into the park. We're 31 foot and the tight switchbacks
meant that only vehicles less than 22 foot could use that road.

All i have to say is that i do not want to drive an RV through mountain
roads. It is big enough for me to drive on the straight highway. And
people out here in California do not believe in guard rails. C'mon
people! I have enough adrenaline already.

Tomorrow is a big day...we have to get to Arizona.

... We left the park by a different route, taking Hwy 140 along the Merced River, then turning south onto Hwy 49 back to close to Course Gold and the RV Park. At one point along the river on Hwy 140, there had been a major landslide that covered the road, so they had built a couple of semi-temporary bridges and about a 1/2 mile detour around the slide. The rest of our week there was uneventful, just ...
