    ... to find an RV park to stay in
    but our internet kept going in and out of range and there wasn't
    anything for miles so we ended up staying at a Rest Area when we
    crossed back into Texas, just out of Hedley. There were signs saying
    Watch for Rattlesnakes. Was keen to see some, from the safety of the
    RV but didn't see any snakes at all.

    Unfortunately this Rest Area was right
    near rail tracks so they came and went all night. They must toot

    Mountains, Longhorns and Lizards... OH MY!

    ... with me, although in my opinion this is of paramount imortance since we are in the state! What is that?

    Then we followed it all up with the best guacamole and mexican food ever! They gave us three different kinds of salsa with gluten free chips and queso sauce for free! Then they gave us dessert for free too! Best restaurant ever! Yum Yum! No better way to end the day after working up an appetite climbing all over the rocks.

    ... 5 years. He ultimately retired from the Army while there. I was in the second class to graduate from Eisenhower High School and have to admit that I had a great time during that period. Not much has changed in the town except for the replacement of a number of the buildings with newer ones such as Walmart and Costco, etc. The main streets are still Gore St, Fort Sill St, and Cache St although the roads are much wider than in 1966.

    ... Travails." Rick and I are departing from DFW and the Karpies from Rochester, NY. We will meet up in the morning in Madrid for the final flight to Athens. We are all packed light to carry on.     ... her. Being around such good people that I connect so deeply with makes it very hard to leave this place. And they add more meaning to the phrase, "Home is where the heart is."

    Well, I bid them farewell this morning. Leaving behind great memories, a baby blanket and baby hat that I crocheted for Cedar. Now, I am on my way North...heading towards good old Montana. Where I have not set foot in four years and a good friend awaits........to be continued.
