    Well this is not how I wanted to start this blog...but my luck with travel persists... My flight to DC was cancelled tonight.,most of you have experienced the lovely storms in our area....just ask my beautiful whippet Riese after hiding in the basement for 7 hours today! So, after rebooking with a very non-English speaking agent, I now leave tomorrow morning ...

    ... out all the logistics with all the costs associated! I am actually calmer now just having a plan and bookings... At first that scared the heck out of me, but now it is actually making me calm...go figure! It's still hard to wrap my head around being out of the country for almost a month. how do I pack? What will I need, what can I take...what can't I take? And it's only 2 weeks ...

    Left the quiet campground and headed northeast. I-99 was about 100 feet higher than the southbound and the valley and towns were even lower. This trip was really nice with the green rolling hills and small towns and lots of farms but it seemed like we were always going downhill. We sure have seen lot of dead dears on the side of the road in PA.

    Stopped in Altoona for diesel and there along the mountaintop ridges were turbines. We have not seen many ...
