... for baked goods, and home decor.  We then walked around the gardens, first stopping by the Birds of Prey show that takes play daily. The lady did a great job explaining the different birds and their habits and habitats. We got there 15 minutes in (the whole show is 30 minutes) and got to see two owls and a vulcher.  I guess they must've shown fancier birds like eagles, hawks, and falcons earlier!  The presenter was very animated ...

... next week too. The program I connected with today provides accommodation, which would save me from having to make a 2-hour commute to Atlanta everyday. Soo I should start doing some forensic science reading and come up with some sample lesson plans!! We left from the Atlanta airport around 3:30 in the afternoon on Delta. Luckily, my hubby is very detail-minded when it comes to flying, and he had reserved the bulkhead seats for us in the exit row. Since we weren't in Business Class, that was a huge treat!

After checking our bags and getting to our gate, one of the flight attendants came up to us - turns out she takes my AquaFit class ...

      Hiking Sweetwater Creek

... those years I have hiked in locations from Hong Kong to North Carolina, but never actually in my own backyard. With gorgeous fall weather and an overly energetic Maho who had spent 9 hours in the car over the weekend (on her first road trip to Tallahassee!), I realized this was the opportune moment. We packed a backpack, grabbed subs on the road and headed to Sweetwater Creek State Park.

We decided to follow the Red Trail ...
