... in......so a tow truck would have to be dispatched. At 8:15 that evening we were in tow and headed to the Cummins dealer for repairs the following day. By 9:30 we were sitting in the parking lot at Cummins with the blessing of 50 amp electric and water, because they were a coach care facility, and some ice cold beer in the frig. Place to sleep before heading to Sequoia Ntl. Park

... If the roads are closed or they require an inspection to assure we have chains for the car, we will NOT be able to enter the parks. Oh well!! That possibility also exists on the Northern route and thru Yellowstone when we get there. I told Rhonda we will just play it by ear, and if we can't.........we can't. Still a wonderful trip that we will be thankful for the rest of our lives.

Stay tuned.

We arrived at Bakersfield at around 3.30pm and we looked up some RV parks. We found one ...

... a dozen RV’s here – one with a Forestry Service truck parked outside. I decided that if someone wants money from me, they know where to find me.

A reasonable and safe place to boondock, but when the winds came up around sunset they were brutal and the mosquito’s are the size of small cats and the freeway noise is a bummer. All the same, good for a ...

Saga of the Visa, Part 2

... what she was saying but my guess is that she wasn't getting the visa in time to leave. The guard had to come and escort her out while she yelled all the way out. Another lady was pounding on the locked door leading into the room where employees were working behind the windows. No one ever opened the door. Finally our number was called and we rushed up to the window. I couldn't turn in the apps for Nate's group, as ...
