    Brit on Reception

I'm not sure what the other hotels are like on Amelia Island, but this one is just fine. It isn't fantastic, but I'm certainly not complaining. Breakfast is a bit odd as it is a strange help yourself sort of thing. Bizarrely there is a Brit (English lady) who works on Reception. She remembered me from the last time by the way. She welcomes bumping in to fellow Brits as Amelia Island isn't a place that we would normally visit.

Beautiful park ! Many places to fish.

    Not dog friendly.

Half campsites were on the beach and half on the river.

Riverside has one bathhouse / Air conditioned but not close to all the sites.

    Large sites overall.

Rained the first day, flooded 95% of the riverside sites, ours (#54) was the worst with at least 4" of standing water.

No vacant dry spots. Refund issued returned home.

Will try again during dry season. (maybe)

... there is only ONE Starbucks that is miles from my gate. So I'm relying on sheer willpower alone to keep myself up until I get to Chicago.

This whole wifi thing is also going to be pretty tricky. Airport wifi sucks and using my LTE hotspot is going to eat up a HUGE chunk of my data plan so we'll see just how often I'll be able to blog while in transit.

    Spirits are high! Until Chicago--

... The point is, develop body time to communicate with you. Don't Force Through Your Workout Lifting fat weights when figuring out will not actually make you lose weight. The truth is, you might even gain pounds if you keep doing that. Muscle tissues are heavier than fat so you might have lost a lot of fat but gained muscle so for the dimensions, mass is mass. You may even be willing to gain rather than lose in the event you go all Arnold ...

... would hit us broadside as we entered the marina channel. Having a very heavy boat, we did not take that warning too seriously, especially after surviving the grounding. Silly, silly us. We should have realized no boat is a match for tons of water pushing in one direction. I tell you that current slammed into our Calliope so hard we were knocked sideways and both engines went out. Luckily, Captain got them restarted before we crashed into the pilings. Whew! We backed up, took ...

It's been a year of planning and BAM here it is the 23rd of July 2013. Almost a year ago this trip was conceived and now it's time to hit the starter and hit the road. My bags are packed, the bike looks beautiful and runs even better. Every detail is in place ...now it's just time to ride.

Amelia Island Florida is where I live and it's beautiful. I strongly encourage you to visit there sometime! The beaches, resorts and food are great and I am blessed to live there. On this ...
