    Brit on Reception

I'm not sure what the other hotels are like on Amelia Island, but this one is just fine. It isn't fantastic, but I'm certainly not complaining. Breakfast is a bit odd as it is a strange help yourself sort of thing. Bizarrely there is a Brit (English lady) who works on Reception. She remembered me from the last time by the way. She welcomes bumping in to fellow Brits as Amelia Island isn't a place that we would normally visit.

    Back at Amelia Island/Fernadina Beach

Yesterday evening I picked up a colleague from Orlando Airport and head for Fernadina Beach. A couple of wrong turns and an hour later we end up back at Orlando. Not good in the slightest. So we take stock and off we go again. Oh did I mention it's a 3 hour drive. To compound matters I miss the Amelia Island turn off. What a dork! We reach the hotel at 11pm. No Sliders Bar tonight.

    Goodbye Ponte Vedra, Hello Atlanta

... of the house and where they use to "party" with mum and dad in the pool room etc. We also skyped dad and had a quick chat to him whilst we were there. It was late by this time, around 10pm and we were all growing very tired. Poor Mike had to get up at 4:30am for work, and Ida had to work at 9am. So we all decided it was time for bed.

Aaron and I passed out pretty quick and set our alarm to be up and gone with Ida by 9am. ...

We headed home and decided to have some lovely chocolate for dessert and some more of uncle Rob’s lemon liqueur and said cheers for our last night together. Uncle Rob put on "CATS" Musical as I said I’d never seen it, and apparently I did “ok” at understanding it haha. After a while we decide to go and pack a little before heading to bed for a long drive to Atlanta ...
