... and the original house chambers. We saw the spots where John Adams and Abraham Lincoln each had their desks when they were Representatives. We saw the entrance to the Speaker of the House's office as well as the Majority Leader's office. After our tour we had lunch in the visitors center ($$$$) explored the gift shop ($$$) and then prepared to board our bus for our next destination - Gettysburg. ... a nice sleep.


So here we are this morning starting to get ready for our DC tour......plans are made and we are somewhat rested(the kids stayed up watching a movie b/c they had slept so much). I think it’s a strange trip when you can go from such a remote location where all you can hear are birds to now sitting in the middle of US foundations with not a bird but a buzz.......of traffic. Excited for the day! Pictures to come hopefully ...
