... it was Thanksgiving morning there was barely a soul at security so I whizzed right by. And, yes, made my flight with minutes to spare. I just hope that my luggage made it on the plane!!! Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning.
Then on my flight from Houston to New York, I recognized a seminary student of mine from over 20 years ago. We had a chuckle about how we both look pretty much like ...
... problem would have to be fixed eventually. Well, eventually is on your way to Albuquerque.
So as I finally found Devon and John's place, outside the city and quite remote, I was relived to have gotten the car that far. I met Devon and her husband John and instantly felt at home. My dad and Devon's mom are old theater friends and I promised my dad I would visit them on the way back to Atlanta. Devon and John ...
We left Moab on Sept. 2 and drove to Bloomfield, NM. It is a beautiful drive all the way. There was one more arch, Wilson's Arch, as we left Moab. Didn't know that it was there, but I was quick enough to get a picture as we flew by. The weather has been so pleasant and the scenery changes so much as we go down the road. We stopped in Dove Creek, Co. and picked up 3 - 10 lb. bags of dried beans (No they are not all for us, we are picking some up for others also). We ...

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States sjandbuddy... of the couple who is marrying is supposed to drink out of one side of the double-sided vase to symbolize their union, as they are drinking from the same water, and then they keep the vase in their home as a daily reminder of their marriage. I love symbolic gestures such as this, so I had to have one. We ate in an authentic New Mexican restaurant called Gardunos Chile Packing Company and Cantina, which boasted typical, yet deliciously satisfying ...

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States ciexiI get to the airport in Albuquerque at 4.30pm. my flight is at 6:30pm..I quickly hit the mens room
and eat 8 gelatin capsules of dried, powdered ( fine), peyote. within an hour of consumption
I'm through security and sitting with my laptop and the peyote kicks in."...Woah Mescalito !!!!
..please let me maintain and not have a major freakout here in the airport....just let me maintain and get me on the plane!!!!".....once on board it's smooth sailing...lol
... My new found friends just couldn't see why a gringo would fight so hard for their cause. I was optomistic they would rethink the matter and ask me to come back. It has not happened and I respect their decision. What my brothers and sisters don't realize is, I am not the only one who supports rational reform. Until now, we have been too afraid of our own government to tell people what we think. That is just one more casualty of 911.
Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States lavidanuevaToday Lee took us to Pecos National Park, it used to be an Indian settlement - now a national park. Walked around the park for an hour, was a pretty place Then we headed off to Albuquerque where we had a look around the city, realised there wasn't much there so played some pool and had a few beers before the train arrived. Cheers again Lee!
