... Sioux is very excited as we have booked to see Helen Mirren in The Audience tonight. I can wear my new Calvin Klein coat- I'm excited. We booked it ages ago as most shows on Broadway are booked out well ahead. The show was excellent but we did feel overdressed. People don't worry about getting too dressed up to go to the theatre it seems. Anyway I think Helen appreciated the effort we had gone to as she looked our way more than once and I'm sure she winked at me - it ...

VERY tired Josh, VERY grumpy Josh, so onto the subway home and to a lasagne restaurant for dinner - his favourite food. Only a 7/10 though from Josh :-) We're all getting weary legs and feet but averaging about 17,000 steps a day and God knows how many kms on the excellent NY subway ...

          ... York

Flying into New York at night was a fantastic idea. I had the window seat & watched the sunset of orange & red with the full moon guiding us in over a city with so many pretty lights I was gobsmacked. As we got off the plane & headed for the baggage hall a golf cart was waiting by chance to take us to the baggage claim area so we hopped on board. Right place right time & we sailed smoothly past all the other folk walking the very, very ...

... and impressive. There were some amazing photographs of it arriving over New York piggybacked to a jumbo jet. We went back on deck to admire planes including a Phantom, a stealth Blackbird and my favourite, the F14 Tomcat. By now it was nearly 2pm. We were ready for lunch, so decided to skip the submarine (USS Growler), and Concorde at the end of the pier. Walked about a mile back, and ...

Caught subway to our next place of interest which was Wall Street. Not as big and grand as I imagined, quite a narrow street really. There was a huge "Trump" building in it.
Headed down towards the water and found a nice shaded area to eat our lunch.
After lunch headed up towards Brooklyn Bridge. Found the beginning and started making our way across it. It ...
