    quite a nice hotel out by the airport. Good internet service and gym which was very welcome .. staff were very friendly ... very good value

    After such a long and delayed arrival we had a pretty lazy first day. We changed hotel rooms. Thanks Lauren for the wonderful service at the AKA and the upgrade to a penthouse suite. Nice. Thankfully we hadn't really unpacked so the move up wasn't too hard. Plus the new room is fantastic. More space, separate bedroom and a comfy lounge with massive TV.     ... and got me bandaged up but advised me to just wait until the buses come and not return to work. Very soon after the buses came and then everyone ceased work and piled on to the buses again.

    This was an amazing day and I enjoyed it. Being able to help others when they have been put in such a hard situation, was very cool! I believe that even if not in NYC, everyone should participate in some form of a community event or charity at least once.

    Today our plan was to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. We were having breakfast with one of our tour guides who is staying on to take another tour in a couple of days when one of the ladies of our original group came over to us to say hello and mentioned that they were going to walk the B B and asked if we would like to join them.
