After hours and hours we made it to South of the Border. For those who don't know, it is a Landmark established in 1949 at the North Carolina/South Carolina border. Everything is Mexican themed complete with a sombrero tower allowing views of the entire South of the Border area. Unfortunately, we did not have time to explore.

... scrapped our dinner plans and ordered pizza and wings. Twenty minutes later dinner arrived at our door, conveniently charged to the credit card used to pay for the campsite. This is a great example of how you run into nice people on the road.
