Waiting on the dock for the ferry to arrive and the dark of the evening having set in, the view is nothing short of spectacular. The city comes alive with glinting lights from homes, offices and street lamps and the white dominance of the Opera House loomed, steadfast, in the distance.

Paddington: visit on a Saturday and you'll be able to enjoy the weekly market. Wander round and have a rifle through the merchandise – you ...
