This is the first day of our two week trip to South Carolina and Virginia. We drove from home and made it to the border crossing in good time and didn't have to spend any time there as we had already done the clearances last time we travelled.
Stopped off a couple of times for a break and once for dinner at Red Robin in a town I forgot to …
... cave in the area called Luray Caverns. The area is dominated by limestone and with limestone comes caverns and karsts. We drove through the small town of Luray and pulled into the Cavern parking lot. Not only was the cavern here, but there were museums, historic buildings, a garden maze and more. The trip into the cave took a bit over an hour. It was beautifully done, with lights showering the stalactites and stalagmites. There was a room called ...
Before we went to bed last night, the RV was packed and ready to go. That made getting to church by 8:15 possible. We could not go out of town without Tommy registering to win the new Jeep at Newspring! The service was great and all the dads were recognized for Father's Day.

We followed the freeway until we came to a rest area where we picked up a map and then decided ...

The room was very comfortable and a good size. However the internet connection was very poor. When we measured it it was just 0.2 - not much faster than dial up.
Also could not get the promised HBO channel on TV.
Only there for one night, so put up with it.
Breakfast was okay, nothing special but okay.
