We have had a few days to unwind and catch our breath. It is good to be home and back with friends and family. It takes about a week for the body to adjust to the time change and some time to step back into our own culture.

This is a time for reflection of the lessons learned, the places visited, the friendships we developed, and the lasting impact this adventure will have on our lives. I am honored ...

... most of Draft Day, a Kevin Costner movie. The movie choices were fantastic and overwhelming. I was probably most fascinated with looking thru them. I watched Monuments Men, which I had wanted to watch before visiting Berlin (check!) and then all but about the last two minutes of Frozen....I had seen it before but remembered almost none of it....since it made me think of my girls, I decided it was time to watch it again. We were at the back of the plane ...

... male contingent in our party. No sooner have we tied our boat up at the aptly labelled 'party cove' on the big day than one bloke and two women row past on a canoe. Ordinarily this wouldn't raise any eyebrows but to Karen's astonishment, the older lady fronting the canoe is topless and the younger girl bringing up the rear is naked which makes for an amusing spectacle. Chris, who as a 15 year veteran of party cove has seen it all ...

We all arrived at the airport between 4:30 and 5 am to check-in. Traveling internationally our bags have to be under 50 pounds. Most of us were at about 49.5 lbs.

We are excited to go to China and start our adventure in Beijing. We have a long flight a head of us. We fly less than two hours to Chicago, 4 hour layover (didn't happen), and a 13 + hour flight to Beijing.

We will update you all as soon as we can.
