The bus journey despite its length actually went pretty quickly due to a mixture of me falling in and out of sleep most of the way to Detroit,then again from Detroit to Chicago. Detroit really isn't a nice place even to pass through on a bus and waiting inside the bus station itself did not feel particularly safe!But all went to plan and I was on my way again.
