... of weather. The only bad part of the weekend has been the flights. My flight out to San Angelo was delayed for mechanical reasons. Going back to Des Moines, my flight to Dallas was delayed for over an hour which made me miss my connecting flight. So now I'm hanging out in Dallas for 5 hours in order to catch the last flight out of here for Des Moines. All in all, it was a really good ...

According to the historical markers, it was a much larger town in the past. There aren't many houses left here now. The rv park is where the town bank once stood. The owner manged to save the bank steps. The post office is next door, so I guess you could call this area the downtown of Hermleigh.

We had a very short time to enjoy Santa Fe before returning to the hill
country to get ready for our next adventure, visiting family and friends
and all the other things we needed to get done. While we were in Santa
Fe the weather was quite cold but the sun was shining and we spent a
lot of time catching up on our travel stories and fixing some fine
foods. Winter is such a good time for fixing curries and pots of beans

So I couldn't shake the feeling that they were alive.

What I could't decide is if their flowing arms were doing yoga, or waving in distress.

I took a movie, just to try to capture the infinity of them, but between the wind and the camera constantly having to try to adjust to ever farther distances it's pretty rough.

... So nice to be stopped for 2 days. The people here a super nice and smily. I did 3 loads of washing finally so good to get some clean clothes. Went out to dinner at a grill sports bar and it was cheap and very friendly too, great prices and not bad food. Got home and all chilled really full. Going to be freezing cold tonight so cranked up the ...
