The end of the beach part of our holiday has arrived and we start to head North for a different experience. I considered the highlight of the day being the bridge/tunnel crossing of the entry of Chesapeake Bay to the Atlantic Ocean. It is looong.

Next stop was "linner" as Barb calls it, at her favorite crabcake restaurant, Captain's Galley II, on the waterfront in the Ocean City harbor. We three enjoyed the crab filled cakes and adult Orange Crush drinks.

The Conaway's and the Beauchamp's left Stockton, MD at 5 p.m. and the Porter's fell in the convoy in Snow Hill. We traveled to Cumberland , MD and slept in a Walmart lot. This night start enabled us to avoid the morning work traffic from the Bay Bridge north. 281 miles traveled.

There is not much privacy between sites but they are level and it is an enjoyable place to camp. On the island which is about ten miles long there is a wild pony pen, other beaches, bike trails and the cutest little town with restaurants and shopping.
