      ... the next 8 months.


      One woman asked us what we had seen of Scottsdale. We laughed and said, "Absolutely nothing!" and felt no shame in that. I'm sure it is a beautiful city, but we needed some relaxation time and I think we were all tired of sightseeing in the desert. We have loved our time in the SW USA, but we are ready to move on. A couple of days in San Diego and then off to the OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD! Wow!

      ... open the boot just to check that they had taken everything and , guess what, there was someone else's luggage in the boot. We had driven off in the wrong car. We followed the golf cart back to the hotel lobby to find the owner of the car looking very relieved. In my defence, the car was identical to ours and the valet must have thought that the mistake would cost him his job.       ... game. We even got some pool time in.

      Since then we have been enjoying a quieter pace of reading, pool time and going to the gym to stave off the worse effects of all the eating and cheap wine. We've also been taking a couple of golf lessons and trying to practice our game.

      Scottsdale is quite busy at the moment - highest season so all places are packed and golfing is expensive. Things will get quieter after Easter.

      ... We had morning sunrises, sunsets, and a full moon rising. We played an 18 hole putting course, Karen and I sat in the sun by the pool while the guys golfed, and we wandered around Fountain Hills doing some shopping. We haven't begun to do it all.
