Not much of interest except for a large area of Cholla cacti. Ugly suckers, but I found them to be strangely attractive. Stopped in El Paseo to have a coffee at Starbucks and a stop at the Visiter Center, where one of the staff was very helpful and recommended the Coachella Perserve for a hike to the Oasis and a visit to Sunnylands gardens. He took me to a pizza place which is normal for any Italian to dine at, except for me. I ordered a salad and he looked at me confused.     ... the Main Stage to see Modest Mouse

    Modest Mouse did a great set, as did Band of Horses, Local Natives, Passion Pit, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The Stone Roses were average but still worth seeing for one of my all time favourite songs 'Fools Gold'. Zach fell asleep in the Chariot during the very loud Yeah Yeahs Yeahs set as hoped so we were able to stay until about 11pm, we couldnt make it to see Tegan and Sara which didnt start until 12:30pm. ...
