Now we’re back in St Maarten and one of the worlds big yachting Regatta’s is about to start, so that will be the next blog, followed quickly by the St Maarten Carnival. Life just seems to go from one big party to the next, but hey, someone has to do it? Don't they?
... out bed - the boys can't sleep on the same bed. No way the boys would survive in the two king beds in a regular 1 bedroom hotel room we had booked. Very nice, on top floor, has a washer and dryer, full kitchen, spa bath, shower and balcony. Not bad for a $15 extra per night! Boys cheek out the pool and gym whilst Melinda and Unpacked and setup the room and beds and got the washing going - ...
Today we are going to the Kennedy space centre. We are going on the bus tour to the launch centre and we are going into the firing rooms 1 2 3 4 were they launched the Columbia, Atlantis, challenger, discovery, endeavour, and the Apollo 1 to 16. It was really fun I had a great time. ...
... On the subject of soaking, on the river rapids you can shoot a water cannon from above at the people on the ride. The confused looks on their faces as they got soaked were only bettered by the mad scramble as they tried to avoid four people aiming their water cannons at them! We were even co-ordinating with other people on the water cannons to get one unfortunate person. I then carried on our childish fun by going down the small slide on the platform, but for some reason ...
... the exception of Indiana Jones......cue the Indie stunt spectacular, I still love this and the kids did too, especially Indie. My enjoyment was marred a little by a whingy kid behind me who had a high pitched American accent, that spoke in whiny tones all the time, "Mommy that's supposed to be in Egypt, that doesn't look like Egypt" "Mommy that's not the real Indiana Jones", now, kids can be tired and whingy and all that stuff, it was hot and the poor kid ...
