... got $40 of sweets and various flavours of fudge. The fudge was the best fudge I have ever had and after the candy shop we went to get some fried clams and a frappe. After about 5 hours at Cape Cod we went back to Manchester and chilled out in my hosts house.
This is probably one of my most boring posts because I haven't really done much in a while but it was a fantastic 3 days and the best bit has to be the ridiculously beautiful surroundings.
... Formidable! I hand over my car to the valet who hides his horror at the amount of bugs on my Bug. I picked up the dead hitchhikers driving through dusk in the forests of Vermont. I check in, am shown my room and settle in for the night. Voila! I've arrived in Montreal, the first time since 1987. I look forward to exploring the city now that I'm an adult, no longer intrigued or attracted by its famed nightlife. A tour of culture and refinement, this time....
My sister leaves today to head back to Iowa, so we decide to drive west together until I need to split off and go north.
For some odd reason, she allowed her passport to expire so she cannot accompany me to Canada. A shame, as I'm using my Marriott points to stay at the original Ritz Carlton, an historic landmark in the city that will be sheer luxury. Too bad for her!!
