We left Rapid City after 9 and travelled 341 km through eastern and central Wyoming to Buffalo. The land ist mostly flat gras lands, streets straight. We stayed in Badlands for two nights. There were bikers all over but it wasn't too crowded and they weren't too scary! The rock formations are awesome and awe inspiring. Rawlins, Casper and Buffalo WY

We drove most of the day and stayed overnight in the Rawlins KOA. It never ceases to amaze me that a campground can charge you $40 per night (plus tax) to stay in your own RV. Since Rawlins isn't really a big town, all 6 of the area campgrounds charged $38-40 per night. KOA's are usually very nice campground so we gambled and pulled in. WOW! What a day! We traveled through South Dakota today. We stopped at Mt. Rushmore to visit the presidents that are carved in stone. Can you name the four presidents? (Hint:TJ,GW,TR, AL)
it was a beautiful day with blue sky and temperature reaching 80. No long johns today!

After Mt. Rushmore we drove to Crazy Horse monument. It is still being worked ...
