We'll, we hurried into the Lone Star State trying to beat the Sunday night traffic around Houston, and we almost made it. My, those freeways must get really snotty around rush hours. Don't make any hasty assumptions but my first sight of the Houston skyline was a smog obscured glimpse behind a billboard touting a gun show seen through a rapidly moving wall of semis on I 10. We had two days of bike riding here and spent three nights. I think it was our second day of riding that we saw gators. We have arrived at our friends ranch in Sargent Texas. It is located about 80 miles southeast of Houston on the Gulf of Mexico. This morning we toured a national wildlife refuge nearby and saw about 15 alligators. Size range from babies to monsters. We have been visiting with the Farrs. They are college friends and have brought ...
