After an early breakfast at the local Denny's we started our journey towards Sequoia NP. As we arrived, once again we were astonished about the giant trees. Unbeliveable how long these trees have been on planet earth. Some of them are more then 3000 years old. After the visit, we went on our way to las vegas with a stopover in Bakersfield.

Made Bakersfield, 2 days late, after a long, uneventful drive. First time we've been able to say that on this trip. We managed to hit the road at about 7.30am, itching to get a good start for what would prove to be about eight hours of driving plus time for stops. First we had major concerns about transporting everyone. We will drive our crew cab truck pulling our 24-1/2’ fifth wheel. We will take our middle boy, 3 other adults, plus 5 grandkids up to San Francisco, a 5 hour drive. ... so I had to step in. I wasn't very impressed considering the day I had but it was fine, I had to coach 6 very well behaved girls who were of a decent standard. Myself and Jack decided we would take it in turns to coach them. Me and Ashleigh then arrived to tea and they made me try my first ever twinky and ding dong biscuits which were very good.
