We checked in the hotel, walked down to 6th Street, to the nightclub district, walked in the Driskill Hotel, the old historic hotel, which is quite spectacular, then through downtown to the Colorado River and Lady Bird Lake. Wanted Jane to see the Congress Street Bridge, where at least ONE MILLION fruit bats live. In the summertime, they all come out at dusk. It is a truly amazing site. Hence, the Title of today's blog - we "batted zero" - nary ...

We left the condo at 7:15am for our 35 minute commute to the track parking lot and boarded our school bus to the circuit. All up it takes about an hour to reach our seats in the grandstand at turn 1.

There was not as much fog today and it soon cleared for the third and final practice to get underway on time.

Following practise we made our way down to the tunnel leading ...
