Of course we leveraged as much outside help as possible including Kahn Academy for math, and one of their elementary school teachers to guide them through 4th and 5th grade writing. We checked in the hotel, walked down to 6th Street, to the nightclub district, walked in the Driskill Hotel, the old historic hotel, which is quite spectacular, then through downtown to the Colorado River and Lady Bird Lake. Wanted Jane to see the Congress Street Bridge, where at least ONE MILLION fruit bats live. In the summertime, they all come out at dusk. It is a truly amazing site. We left the condo at 7:15am for our 35 minute commute to the track parking lot and boarded our school bus to the circuit. All up it takes about an hour to reach our seats in the grandstand at turn 1.
There was not as much fog today and it soon cleared for the third and final practice to get underway on time.
