    After lunch in Cherokee, on the other side of the Smokies, we drove into North Carolina, our 12th state this trip. Late afternoon, we made it to Lulu's brother's house just outside Charlotte and then had dinner with him and his wife Lisa in Charlotte.

    ... so what do you expect?

    - We put the house on the market (for sale by owner) - meaning my sister was the realtor and lead negotiator. First people to see it - bought it.

    - We moved my mom to my sister's house.

    - Construction Project: My mom built (not herself) an addition onto my sister and brother-in-law's house. Full apartment with kitchen, living, bedroom, bathroom, her own entrance and patio.
