      ... As we drove into town, there were garlic, cherry and strawberry stands , one after another. After dinner we stopped and bought bing cherries, then headed to Safeway for some groceries.       ... 1 and started to follow it down the coast. The coast road was great, not too windy with spectacular views of the ocean. There were some great drop offs and cliffs and most had no guard rails!       We will head north from Vacaville on I-505, a connector freeway to I-5. This is the portion of the drive that transforms from a white knuckle ride to the equivalent of driving with Miss Daisy. From there it is a enjoyable country drive for hundreds of miles. We will most likely overnight in or around Redding.
