Once I finished the race (and yes, it poured rain the entire time), we went for lunch. All in all, a great weekend and a fun race. I'm such a lucky girl to have my coach (Richard) with me for my 8th half marathon. I still can't believe that he's never missed one of my races (7 Marathons and 8 Halfs).

... Krogers and Loews at least for 4-5 days. It has taken forever to get stocked up on everything and I am so sick of those stores that we are boycotting them for a while!

Tomorrow we are heading to Florida and not sure where we will stop along the way. We are just playing "being retired" without a real plan for the next 3 days. If we find anything exciting we will post it here.

Sunday was the opening of the fall racing season at "The Downs". So we got ready to play the ponies.

Some background-Churchill Downs is a Thoroughbred racetrack most famous for hosting the Kentucky Derby annually. It officially opened in 1875, and held the first Kentucky Derby.

The track is named for John and ...
