    ... of their seating inside, probably because it rains so much in Orlando, but all of the additional outdoor seating, especially those seats in the shade, was very nice.

    Drove abut 20 km Santa Monica Beach. We got there with just enough light to make out the horizon. It was good to feel the moist cool sea breeze. The beach is very broad. The pier was surprisingly underdeveloped compared to Fishermans wharf in SF. There seemed to be more locals, even fisherman.Also checked out Venice beach but it was deserted in the night.

    ... Their loss! We did find a cute place where we could sit outside as long as no alcohol was consumed, and we were all (minus Sam) in NEED of a Coke so that was no problem. Our table was a huge piece of wood and we could see the World Cup game going on inside so it was a nice spot to stop. After narrowing down a good-looking menu we ended up with steak sandwich, fish tacos, ahi tuna, Philly sandwich, and Pacific Salad. It was ...

    ... went to sleep. I went to bed at a more reasonable time, only to discover that Samantha had woken up and was no longer sleepy. And when she isn't sleepy, no one is sleepy. The evening passed slowly with fitful sleep, a combination of excitement., nerves and post macca's wind.

    Right now, we are at the airport terminal, waiting to go through security and the trip will begin for reals.
