Boo-my oldest nephew- was having a birthday and I needed some Boo time! So off to Flowood, Mississippi where my husband's sister and her family lives. There house is a bit tiny of them, his parents and us, so we stayed at the Hampton Inn there in Flowood. The Hampton has always been clean and quiet and it is close to the in-laws.

... in a suburb just north of Jackson, enjoying some of Dan's frequent flyer points! The hotel is very nice, and seems to be very recently built. We walked to a nearby shopping area and ate at a restaurant called "Newk's." We shared a half salad and a 10" thin crust pizza. It was very good. For those of you who like to frequent Druid Hills, their website states they have a restaurant there, now.

There were a couple of surprise wildlife sightings: an alligator in the bayou and an armadillo that wasn't road kill!! It was delicious.), and we shared a Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. We then walked the mall in which it was located. We stopped in the Barnes and Noble store where I made a purchase. We then returned to the motel for the evening to read and watch ...

The hotel is clean, as usual. We have only had a problem with the breakfast once, but were able to talk to the manager and they took care of it. The pool area is small, so if you are having to share it with lets say 10 screaming pre-teen girls, that could be a problem!
