... After breakfast my dad picked up Darcy and I and drove us up to Indy where we will kick it for a couple days. We fly out of JFK in NYC and take a train there Tuesday at midnight. My dad entertained us today along with my brother, Jake. We watched the Colts game at B's Po Boys and had some killer Po boys, go figure. We then went to fountain square brewery for a beer before heading ...

Fun Fact About Bush's Political Career

A travel blog entry by rjaa

Dan Quayle was a conservative U.S. senator from Indiana.
During his term, Quayle was one of the most attacked and mocked vice-presidents
in recent history. His tendency toward misstatements and the public perception
of him as lacking intelligence hurt Bush in his reelection bid in 1992.

Prior to joining Reagan's 1980 ticket as ...

Away from the Frankenstorm

A travel blog entry by averynet

We hit the road at 8:30 and landed here at 19:30, after covering 600 miles / 960 km. Sharing the drive makes a world of difference. Friends and family members! Please take a moment and pray for a friend who is going through a turbulent sea at the moment, fighting cancer. I really believe that we can make a difference. Nous pensons à toi cher Dominique. We're now out of reach of Sandy and on our merry way to Arizona. With ...

The Terminal 1

A travel blog entry by sslleennddeerr

It is five o’clock in the morning here in Indiana. We just got to the airport and we got through security pretty quick, but someone in the group thought it would be a good idea to smuggle snacks on the plane from home. Point of the story is that his bag is now being searched by the men from security. They said once they finish ...

    Great hotel

    from anonymous

If you are looking for a hotel with a 1st class staff and lodging this is it. Never disappoint. Staff is top of the line. Know answers to questions and always willing to help. Valet staff is 1st class. If you need somewhere to stay downtown this is it!

    Great location, great staff

    from msu_mom

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was very spacious with wonderful high ceilings. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The location was perfect for anything you might want to do in downtown Indianapolis.

    Good Hotel

    from anonymous

Two night stay October 26-28, 2005. Easy to get to, extremely friendly staff. Car was always waiting after phone call to valet. Rooms are well appointed and very clean. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

    Perfect

My buddy and I stayed at the Hampton Inn on 12/18-12/20. We were in town for Ravens vs Colts. While the game result was less than desirable, the hotel certainly wasn't. It's centrally located within easy walking distance of many bars, restaraunts, Conseco Field House and RCA Dome. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. In turn, the room was kept clean. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for business or pleasure.

    Nice clean hotel

    from sciencetiger

Compared to the Omni Severin, the Hampton is wonderful. The hotel is clean, convienent, and close to all the downtown attractions. Wonderful people and very nice to stay. Breakfast was good, and coffee service is good. I will stay here again.

I stayed here with my friends for a girls night out. It was a nice hotel. It was a little pricey but clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good.

What a wonderful place to spend ANY evening. The staff from the manager to the valet could not have been any nicer! Everyone bent over backwards to accomodate our every need.

    An A++++ recommendation.

Appreciate the staff at the Hampton Downtown

    from anonymous

We were only able to stay one night at the Hampton but were overwhelmingly pleased not only with the facilities, but also with the friendly and courteous staff who went out of there way to be helpful. We would positively stay there again.

Great Place, friendly and good continental breakfast

    from anonymous

This is a well kept up older hotel in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. I have no complaints with this hotel. The room was HUGE and VERY VERY clean! They had a coffee pot in the rooms with complimentary free coffee. A blow dryer, iron and ironing board in each room. They have free complimentary continental breakfast which included bagels, toast, muffins, boiled eggs, biscuits, milk gravy, oatmeal, fruits, cereals, coffee, tea, cocoa. The breakfast was excellant. The staff was very friendly. I will stay in this hotel again when on business in Indy.
