White River Campground

A travel blog entry by missvidalia

This is a lovely, quiet campground beside the white river. I was the only RV and my section which was next to a side stream. I walk the loop as it began to sprinkle, so I returned to the RV and had supper. A major lightning and thunderstorms began about midnight and lasted till 230. There was a lot of rain with some wind, but it was the lightning that was amazing to watch I opened all the curtains and blinds so that I could watch it in all its ...

... Blake won by 3 shots. Once again a nice cheap $7 activity. The course was decorated really well it looked awesome!
We were extremely thirsty afterward so we went to Steak'n'Shake and treated ourselves to one of the incredible looking milkshakes we had seen advertised in the window. They came out looking just like the picture and did not disappoint! There were so many flavours to choose from and to be honest it was much more a ...

There was a simulator screen which you could throw and kick in various sports challenges. We tried our hand at NFL, baseball, basketball and soccer. There was also a basketball court to shoot around on and an umpiring game that you could play. A bit of fun and ...

... few reminders that South America isn’t the easiest travel destination. My light hair seems to shout my displacement, and my developing, but still very lacking Spanish, puts me in a bit of a disadvantage.

My worrying family and friends also seem to be put at ease if they know I am not completely on my own. The travel buddies did not work out, so I decided to try something completely different and seek out a group I may meet up with. ...

Indianapolis 500

It was a lovely, bright morning when I arrived in one of the many parking lots outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway shortly after 7am where I found thousands already parked, many with the tailgate party well underway. I made my way to the track to soak up the atmosphere and what an atmosphere it was. Slowly but surely the stands began to fill as the traditions were observed from the legends parade to the driver introductions, the singing of "Back home in Indiana" ...

    Great location, great staff

    from

    My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was very spacious with wonderful high ceilings. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The location was perfect for anything you might want to do in downtown Indianapolis.

    Good Hotel

    from

    Two night stay October 26-28, 2005. Easy to get to, extremely friendly staff. Car was always waiting after phone call to valet. Rooms are well appointed and very clean. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

    Perfect

    from

    My buddy and I stayed at the Hampton Inn on 12/18-12/20. We were in town for Ravens vs Colts. While the game result was less than desirable, the hotel certainly wasn't. It's centrally located within easy walking distance of many bars, restaraunts, Conseco Field House and RCA Dome. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. In turn, the room was kept clean. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for business or pleasure.

    Nice clean hotel

    from

    Compared to the Omni Severin, the Hampton is wonderful. The hotel is clean, convienent, and close to all the downtown attractions. Wonderful people and very nice to stay. Breakfast was good, and coffee service is good. I will stay here again.

    Wonderful location

    I stayed here with my friends for a girls night out. It was a nice hotel. It was a little pricey but clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good.

    An A++++ to the Staff!!!

    What a wonderful place to spend ANY evening. The staff from the manager to the valet could not have been any nicer! Everyone bent over backwards to accomodate our every need.

    An A++++ recommendation.

    Appreciate the staff at the Hampton Downtown

    from

    We were only able to stay one night at the Hampton but were overwhelmingly pleased not only with the facilities, but also with the friendly and courteous staff who went out of there way to be helpful. We would positively stay there again.

    Great Place, friendly and good continental breakfast

    from

    This is a well kept up older hotel in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. I have no complaints with this hotel. The room was HUGE and VERY VERY clean! They had a coffee pot in the rooms with complimentary free coffee. A blow dryer, iron and ironing board in each room. They have free complimentary continental breakfast which included bagels, toast, muffins, boiled eggs, biscuits, milk gravy, oatmeal, fruits, cereals, coffee, tea, cocoa. The breakfast was excellant. The staff was very friendly. I will stay in this hotel again when on business in Indy.
