I used my points for this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The facilities are very fresh, clean and updated. The breakfast was nice, but the fruit was not ripe yet. They provided a to-go breakfast bag to us even. The pools were heated and the entire stay was nice.

A travel blog entry by joe3523 on Aug 26, 2015

We woke up around sometime around 9:00 AM, which was nice. Before going to bed last night, we checked the weather and saw it was supposed to rain most of the day and fog was supposed to be bad. So we took our time getting up and getting outside. We ate breakfast at Norma's nook, which consisted of apples, pre-made breakfast sandwiches and burritos …

... like (guitar, bass, uke, you name it!) like an absolute pro! Made me feel embarrassed about buying 3 glee books for the glee club I'm running at camp :-p After shopping we went to a BBQ grill for dinner and had steak, chicken, ribs, sausage, pork...soooo much meat! What a wonderful way to spend a day off! We're now in the minivan on the way back to watch some tv in our common room and chill out before doing 2 full days on...next afternoon off: THURSDAY! ...

... experience. Love our Sea Eagle inflatable! It is so steady and maneuverable and such easy paddling with the two of us onboard. So nice to be able to just grab it out of the trunk and go. A perfectly gorgeous day!

We went back for a shower and change of clothes-it is amazing how quickly you can shower if you know ahead of time that you have four minutes! (You could add extra quarters, but it was fun to see if ...

... full bloom of New England fall foliage.

How was Acadia park, beautiful, breath-taking and fantastically green and varied but that all does it a disservice. The views from Cadillac Mountain were spectacular on the clear day we had. You could look out over the islands dotting the Atlantic in the area of Bar Harbor, the deep blues of the ocean contrasting with the greens of the Islands. I was inspired ...

... I decided to park my car at City Hall Plaza and take a walk. The City Hall though was something to be seen. A large brick building built in 1935 it sits on a grassy knoll overlooking Main Street. There is an amazing golden sculpture near the crest of the roof of the Seal of Maine. It consists ...
