      ... and it’s quite a chorus... wondering if I’d be able to sleep because it was so warm. Definitely back to sandals and short sleeves.

      Anyway, back to my day. I got on a freeway first thing and managed fairly well, maybe because there were only two lanes and it felt more like home. I got to Galax a few hours later, stocked up on groceries although they didn’t seem to have ...

      It's hard to believe that in 48 hours I will be on a plane headed for my first European adventure that will be an approximate total of at least over 11,000 miles! I know that isn't quite a big deal. I've met many people in my travels who have been "across the pond". However, I don't know many that have had an itinerary like this.

      ... salad, and a fifth with sweet potato fries.

      While neither the sushi or burger was the best I'd ever had, the atmosphere of the place was fantastic, with the table a computer monitor with games to keep you entertained and for sushi enthusiasts, the chance to create your own sushi rolls. It was a genuinely good experience and with the good waiter who served us, well worth the effort.

      Reasonably full we headed back to the pool ...

      ... first time a Queen had entered the premises; 'Queen Elsa'. As luck would have it, we were able to eat outside and there was a little stage next to our table. Yes, Queen Elsa and her very best pal Queen Sara from Spain put together a few impromptu performances. Luckily most of the guests were interested in the football screens.

      Our final drive in the US tomorrow takes us to Atlanta in Georgia.
