... granite to remember flight 93. We decided to go in! Inside was a memorial dedicated to all the victims of 9/11. It opened on September 11th, 2011 on top of the world trade center in Baltimore. It was very humbling to see all the heroic faces of 9/11. After leaving the memorial and museum we continued to USCGC Taney, a ship used by the United States Coast Guard. The ship was constructed in 1935 by the US Coast Guard. Beginning in 1937 the ships home ...
... was not feeling well and I was happy to curl up in bed...so as sad as it sounds we headed back after the third. We had an interesting walk back to the station where we realized there was little to no street lighting and the station looked like it was locked...thankfully we found another entrance and were back on our way to hotel comfiness.

... They were very similar to the bins that I had crammed all of my possessions into when I was packing my car for the road trip, the same bins that had saved some of my possessions when the flood came. I could hear sounds coming from inside of each one, and they were familiar sounds. The voices of my Maryland friends, and of painful East Coast memories were echoing eerily with reverberation from each bin, as if the sounds originated a thousand feet deep. They were crying out to ...
... herself, avoiding direct eye contact. Then she left. A little boy walked over two seconds later and looked up at me, tugging on my khakis. "Isn't it true that if you celebrate Halloween, God sends you to hell?" I just stared down at him for several awkward seconds, watching thick, glowstick-colored snot slide down in globs from his nose like the slime of a dying slug and into his open mouth. What have I gotten myself into?

Within three days after launch I was crazy busy again --- but I had those nonrefundable tickets, so vacation gears had become an unstoppable force. We didn't have an itinerary or any reservations until two weeks ago. Usually I spend a year planning a trip like this! But after managing the website launch at a frenetic pace, managing vacation planning on a short timeline? ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Hampton Inn Baltimore-Downtown-Convention Center
Chic and shiny
I booked this hotel based on it being "the only game in town" for a convention event. I expected a standard mid-grade hotel, and was very pleasantly surprised to find it more like a boutique hotel in New York or San Francisco. The decor is chic and modern, with blond wood, black-and-white photos, and splashes of color, as well as clever baseball-oriented touches like the "mitt" sofa in the lobby. The bed and bedding are comfortable enough to make you sigh, and the rooms, though not huge, are well equipped. Ours had a flat-panel TV, a huge glass-walled shower, and a clever breakfast tray/lap desk for the comfy bed.
Tiny down side? Parking is valet-only, and it can take up to 15 minutes to get your car. You're downtown, so park it and forget it, but expect to pay a downtown price ($26/day).
The free breakfast had a nice selection of breads and cereals, with a featured daily hot selection. A small supply of snacks and frozen meals can be found at the front desk. The staff was not just friendly but downright bubbly--they actually seemed to be loving their jobs! Combine this with the perfect location right across from Camden Yards, and you can't ask for anything more. Well played, Hampton Inn!
Great Place To Stay
My wife and I stayed there two nights because of business at Johns Hopkins. Bottom line......This hotel is great.
The price is great.
The location is great.
The price for the valet parking with in and out priviliges is great.
This hotel is new and clean.
The staff are very attentive and accomodating.
The beds are great.
The rooms are quiet.
The breakfast which is free is great. Face it, I eat alot. I can load up on that breakfast and can go all day until dinner. This saves us breakfast and lunch money. This also saves us time. We serve ourselves and do not have to wait for the formality of going to a place, seeing a menu, ordering, eating, and paying a check. I like to think of this as having breakfast at home without having to cook or clean up.
Absolutely stay here.
new hotel conveniently located at the metro and camden yards.
comp.breakfast -food was fresh, plentiful. room was very clean and spacious. definitely would recommend.
New hotel great location!!!
We also stayed there April 25-28 for Red Sox series. It is right next to Pickles Pub, which is great for pre game cocktails. I've stayed at the Brookshire Suites last year. It was alright. But the Hampton Inn Camden Yards is much newer and nicer. The hotel staff was nice especially the women who has to keep up with the breakfast rush. The breakfast selection is typical Hampton Inn.
Bagels, cereal, fruit, 2 hot items, good coffee, tea, this was enough for us. The BED was soooo comfortable. I will be staying here again. I paid $188.00 with AAA discount. Enjoy! you won't be disappointed.
Great location when attending a game at Camden Yards
We spent two nights while attending a couple of baseball games. The location was great - just step out of the front door, cross the street and we were at the gate.
The hotel is an easy walk to all of the inner harbor sights.
The breakfast buffet was well stocked. The staff was friendly.
This was a typical Hampton, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend for a family trip (half the price of some other harbor hotels) or just a quick trip to catch a game.
