    Chic and shiny

I booked this hotel based on it being "the only game in town" for a convention event. I expected a standard mid-grade hotel, and was very pleasantly surprised to find it more like a boutique hotel in New York or San Francisco. The decor is chic and modern, with blond wood, black-and-white photos, and splashes of color, as well as clever baseball-oriented touches like the "mitt" sofa in the lobby. The bed and bedding are comfortable enough to make you sigh, and the rooms, though not huge, are well equipped. Ours had a flat-panel TV, a huge glass-walled shower, and a clever breakfast tray/lap desk for the comfy bed.

Tiny down side? Parking is valet-only, and it can take up to 15 minutes to get your car. You're downtown, so park it and forget it, but expect to pay a downtown price ($26/day).

The free breakfast had a nice selection of breads and cereals, with a featured daily hot selection. A small supply of snacks and frozen meals can be found at the front desk. The staff was not just friendly but downright bubbly--they actually seemed to be loving their jobs! Combine this with the perfect location right across from Camden Yards, and you can't ask for anything more. Well played, Hampton Inn!

    Great Place To Stay

My wife and I stayed there two nights because of business at Johns Hopkins. Bottom line......This hotel is great.

    The price is great.

    The location is great.

The price for the valet parking with in and out priviliges is great.

This hotel is new and clean.

The staff are very attentive and accomodating.

    The beds are great.

    The rooms are quiet.

The breakfast which is free is great. Face it, I eat alot. I can load up on that breakfast and can go all day until dinner. This saves us breakfast and lunch money. This also saves us time. We serve ourselves and do not have to wait for the formality of going to a place, seeing a menu, ordering, eating, and paying a check. I like to think of this as having breakfast at home without having to cook or clean up.

    Absolutely stay here.

    Excellent hotel

new hotel conveniently located at the metro and camden yards.

comp.breakfast -food was fresh, plentiful. room was very clean and spacious. definitely would recommend.

    New hotel great location!!!

We also stayed there April 25-28 for Red Sox series. It is right next to Pickles Pub, which is great for pre game cocktails. I've stayed at the Brookshire Suites last year. It was alright. But the Hampton Inn Camden Yards is much newer and nicer. The hotel staff was nice especially the women who has to keep up with the breakfast rush. The breakfast selection is typical Hampton Inn.

Bagels, cereal, fruit, 2 hot items, good coffee, tea, this was enough for us. The BED was soooo comfortable. I will be staying here again. I paid $188.00 with AAA discount. Enjoy! you won't be disappointed.

Great location when attending a game at Camden Yards

We spent two nights while attending a couple of baseball games. The location was great - just step out of the front door, cross the street and we were at the gate.

The hotel is an easy walk to all of the inner harbor sights.

The breakfast buffet was well stocked. The staff was friendly.

This was a typical Hampton, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend for a family trip (half the price of some other harbor hotels) or just a quick trip to catch a game.

    Off to Belize we go

A travel blog entry by kenzie.j.hi on Jun 02, 2015

Why Belize?, people would ask me. Welp, it has the 2nd longest barrier reef besides The Great Barrier Reef, it's in a Central America, it has blue waters & sandy beaches and there's no currency exchange/translation dictionary needed.

The only things that I knew of Belize were from the internet or from Facebook postings. I've never heard of any negative things in regards to traveling ...

... hung quite a few places in Baltimore rather than the one with 50 stars on it. This was our last historical spot on the Baltimore side of things, but we did walk back to our hostel, we walked along the waterfront. The waterfront was not as enjoyable as San Antonio, but it was a great place. It had benches up and down with great views of the other side of the city. We had to run back to our hostel to get our bags and have a lunch in the kitchen ...

Today we went to the Ford's Theater and saw where Lincoln was shot and the boarding house across the street where he died. We also went to the Spy Museum. That was an interesting place with lots of spy gadgets and stories about real spies.

... the front, right outside of the office. I don't remember what the name of it was, but it looked exactly like the hotel that you see in every horror movie about teenagers being brutally murdered by a masked hotel clerk. It was small, shabby and lit only by the occasional bouts of lightning that flashed through the sky directly behind the building. It was during these brief blue streaks that I could see the outline of the hotel clerk as a silhouette through two thick grimy glass ...

... and i want to go home NOW', But overall, I really came to not just love my family, which of course - we all love our families, but as a result of spending so much time together as traveling companions, I came to really know their personalities as people - not just as my kids who need me to do things for them. The real gift that the trip gave to all of us is that time. I think I speak for everybody when I say that we wouldn't trade the last ...
