      We are in New Zealand! First of all, travel here worked out extraordinarily well. We were questioning whether it had been worth it to do a 24 hour layover...cost $$$ and we felt like we were just killing time. BUT...we got to the airport early and refreshed so didn't freak out ( publicly at least) when the Air New Zealand lady told us we didn't have visas for Australia ( you don't need them for New Zealand) so they couldn't let us board the plane.
