On Sunday, we embarked on our journey from Kaiserslautern, Germany to Brugge, Belgium. We had a scheduled FIVE trains to get us to our destination. After misinterpreting our first itinerary and missing the very first train, we were able to catch another train to get us back on track towards Brugge. Much later that night, while waiting to board our fourth of five trains, we learned that the train had been canceled and may or may not be rescheduled for ...

... The choice for Hong Kong, then, was easily made.

And so last December, it all started. I submitted my application (after checking and re-writing it about 1000 times), made it through the interview and results day. Finally in frustration I asked a random shopkeeper who explained they don't have a post office, but down the road third street to the right was a magazine shop, AKO, who provide postal services. Finally found it! Only took two hours out of my morning. You can stop laughing at me now. After a coffee I set out for The Fortress of St Pieter. It was a lovely ...

Not a whole lot to report today. Woke up early this morning, got showered dressed and packed. Had to go to the post office (which has been a bit of a challenge for me to find) but got that sorted. Back to the hotel for breakfast. They serve breakfast up to 11am here. I guess they're used to guests sleeping late. Which might explain why the shops, museums etc don't open until 10. I have no idea what regular business hours are in Europe. ...
