    On our way to Cologne. We were warned about pickpockets when we arrived in Amsterdam and to watch our bags by the Tour Director. Drama began before we left. Having boarded the coach,Tour Director approached by a man who had a leather wallet of keys and showed him where he found them other side of bus. Nobody on bus claimed the keys and they were left at hotel reception desk. Just after coach left hotel Tour Director discovered his bag was missing ...

    ... Our tour ended with a walk past many of Amsterdam's "coffee shops" and even at 10.00am you could smell that very distinctive smell! We started cruising in the afternoon and the countryside looks wonderful - very flat, but very productive. Tonight was our welcome dinner - only six courses, but everything was delicious.     ... decided to take his advice and follow an alternative route and as we crossed the motorway further down the line and we could see the miles of traffic not moving we knew it was the right decision.     We tried to find some cheap bikes to buy at the camping site today but they were all too expensive and there were no small bikes for Sascha. We left the camp site, said good bye to our cousins and drove to an archaeological park in Xanten. It was a Roman settlement many years ago and I got to dress up like a Gladiator in the museum.
