... we managed to get our lot all into Sven and then sensitive Ruby could hold it in no longer and the tears started. That was the soundtrack to the first ten minutes of our trip. We were going for the long haul today as we had taken the slow options for the last few days so we wanted to get as far across Germany as possible. After a while Stevo was telling us there had been an accident and that there was a one hour delay on our route and this was fairly consistent so ...
... at the bar at Wombat's hostel. Other than the hostel itself being the best hostel ever, the people we met there were also some of the nicest people I have ever met. Most of them were Americans and we quickly formed friendships through their weird drinking games and our 'cool' accents. Because of this we were very sad to leave Munich behind. We trekked to Arnhem to visit the John Frost bridge, where the Battle of Arnhem was held and Operation Market Garden. What a history ...
Wow! What a day! It was beautiful today, 70 and sunny. We had a good 8 hour sleep and had good coffee, meat, cheese and bread for breakfast. We figured out how to put the car in reverse (a little tricky) and set out for Uelsen, Germany. It was a beautiful drive over filled with sunshine, trees, and lots of bikers. When we arrived in Uelsen, we looked for steeples because we figured the church would be a good place to start looking for Masselinks. The church we ...
