This was my 2nd visit to the small town/village, situated just into Holland from Belgium. In fact the majority of the 25 minute bus journey was spent exiting Bruges and passing Belgian villages and farms, I believe the beautiful Sluis was the first real landmark after crossing the border. The journey itself was very scenic (well worth the 3Euro! ) - complete with rabbits and farm fauna, passing long canals, and the stereotypical pancake-flat fields ...
On the Thursday morning we arose at a sensible hour, said goodbye to the mightily put out Puss and got to the station in time for Marietta to negotiate tickets for us: two tickets to Gent (6 and 8 euros) and two from Gent to Brussels (at the same price). We are going to ride to the town of Damme along a canal path. A small about of Belgian suburbia and soon we are riding along a tree lined canal.
