I went on a sweet walking tour today, and got to see so many of Berlin's attractions! It was fascinating to hear all the history behind what we were seeing; for instance, he brought us to a parking lot and then told us that 12 meters below was where Hitler had committed suicide!! With our hearts and bellies heavy, we made our way back to the hostel. We did quite a lot today seeing as how we didn't get any sleep. We got back and I met some cool people from Vancouver and chatted with them for a while. Tomorrow the plan is to go on a free tour offered by the hostel. We are going to check out wha tour small town has to offer!

... before I headed off. Berlin is full of canals and my Uncle Joe lives very close to one of the canals so I thought I could just jump onto the track next to the canal and run 16km one way and then turn around and back track 16km. Well that would have been a good plan - although it would have been very boring but it would have been easier than making up my route on the trot, through farm land, housing estates and parklands, as the canal ...
